A unusual experience

It was horrible. I was in the school and I got sick  of bronchiolitis.

It was my first year in high school and it was my first time that I could participate in rhythmic gymnastics.

The doctor recommended rest. I felt uncomfortable because I'll wanted participate in the  rhythmic gymnastics along with my friends.

It was the worst event  I've ever had, but the next year I participated and I felt proud because we won the first place.

Spanish cuisine

Last month, I spoke about Spain in the oral presentation of english  class. I forgot talk about of the traditional food  of this country.

The spanish cuisine is delicious, but there is a special meal  the Paella  originally from Valencia. Its main ingredients are rice and seafood. I love the Paella because taste is amazing and the different colors of ingredients are that  make some real  traditional food of Spain.

My trip

I want to tell you about a trip I just made. And that for me, is the most beautiful travel I've ever done in my life. I went to the island of Flores, Petén.

This island is a place where you can observe the nature, also you can go eat at good restaurants, and take a boat ride or get to swim in the Lake of the island.

Another activity you can do in Peten is visit the National Park of Ixpanpajul. You can see a lot of animals, eat in cabins, ride horses, walking on large suspension bridges and the most fun activity, climb a tree and throw in the Canopy.

Besides all the beauty of Peten, the journey by car from Guatemala City to Petén could be one of the nicest things. Because on the road, you can observe all the departments and the beautiful landscapes of Guatemala.

And you have the opportunity to stop to watch the beautiful Rio Dulce or the San Felipe Castle.

Well, this is the history of my most wonderful travel in my life. And I hope travel to other places in many more times.

The park National Tikal

Located on the department of Petén. Is an area the most beautiful our country, for the nature and its sceneries.

I remember when  I visit the park was amazed. Also I saw each ruin and  was exciting being up. 

The culture Maya is most popular theme in this year 2012, because is  the beginning of a new era.

Baktun equivalent to 400 years in the Maya calendar system. Changing a the " Age of the Sun", has generated a buzz worldwide.

Personal Space

In my opinion the personal space is very important because is what gives me the feeling of safety and comfort to interact with another human being.

The personal space can be different for each person but everybody have a distance limit  that is an invisible area around  that gives protection. Also,  this depends the people and the situation because some people like more space than others.

I personally need to have confidence with the persons to enable them  can close to my personal space.

Cultural Icon

Shakira is cultural icon because she is a artist latinoamericana that represent the rhythm and passion our countries.

She is a singer, songwriter, record producer and dancer Colombian. Their songs are of the Latin pop rock genre in spanish and english.

In my opinion, Shakira is the most important artist in the world. She is successful because his work and example of  life.

I'm chapín

In my country the culture are the colors, food, music and art. 

The sceneries are as amazing as in others country  because  nature, colors and details of each region.

The processions in Guatemala are as popular as Spain.

The  food traditional Guatemala is as delicious as mexican food, for example the "Tamal", "Rellenitos" and "Fiambre"

The streets the Antigua Guatemala are not as modern as in Europe.

Erick Barrondo

The first silver medal in the Olympics for Guatemala, caused a positive reaction in the country. In London 2012, made ​​us live Barrondo joy and hope during the march.   ¡Barrondo Erick is a pride for the nation!

When Barrondo participated in London, I amazed because him is a person simple but persistent. Also, my friends and family were excited because him represented our country.

Generation Y

Also known as Net generation. This generation is all the people born around the 90s. The youth learned about the internet and technology since children also they grew in better conditions because their parents worked and support they economically.

My opinion is that people the generation "Y" are social and reliable because we have more access of the communication for example in a day  send e-mails, write a blog, chat with friends and other things.
